At Wars End
August 13th, 2010Check this out. I’m holding a copy of The Oregonian that came out the day WWII ended. This feels wierd.

It’s weird that they used to have wars that would actually end.

Or that our military would stop building weapons after a war was over. It’s hard to believe the Navy would ever stop building more boats.
The top and bottom of the picture don’t fit onto to my screen in one shot without scrolling up or down so for a very brief moment I thought this was a T-Shirt rather than a paper. and what a nice somewhat ironic t-shirt it would make too
Why do I hear Bill Curtis’s voice in my head saying, “You’re holding…a piece of history”?
Did you read the article about Truman setting two Holidays? What a nice guy.
Wouldn’t it be great to visit Japan and play a concert for those nice people? (And how about bringing some Portland beer as well?)
