But you are not alone. After leaving the theater I told all my friends not to see Shutter Island. I didn’t care whether I spoiled the movie or not because I thought most people would not tolerate such scenes. I thought that parents, in particular, would find the movie deplorable. Alas, I was surprised to meet a few people who disagreed with me and enjoyed the movie. I consume movies on a weekly basis. I love them. But I can’t comprehend how or why anyone could find enjoyment in Shutter Island.
