Dream
April 28th, 2009I am so completely blown away by the civil rights movement. This was a small group of young men and women who changed the way the world they lived in would have to think about and deal with them. It’s also about truth and right overcoming lies and meanness and they did it.
Makes me feel hopeful.

Bonjour, Courtney, you can be hopeful with President Obama… Thanks for this extraordinary video..
Isn’t it crazy that this is still happening with gay people? There is still a group of people mainstream society is fighting, that they shouldn’t be allowed to do what everybody else can do. F’d up–in the 21st century, no less.
I have seen this speech countless times, and every time I see or hear it I am moved to tears. The power of his message and delivery is undeniable and undimished over time. In fact it may be more timely now than ever.
May our new President be safe.
We should never forget those peoples: Nelson Mandela, Ghandi, Harvey Milk etc … they fought for us, for ours rights, for our lifes. This is thanks to them we got this life, right now. They fought for us to have a better life. Some died, again for us. I’ve seen Harvey Milk by Gus Van Sant and i was astonished, i couldn’t say a word anymore. that was an uncredible fight. I wanna go to the san Fransisco brigde, this is where his cenders are. well i’m a bit upset everytime i talk bout those persons so sorry for my bad english.
Never forget them.
I think with the Bush/Cheney admin the last 8 years has helped regress our society with human rights, as well as employee rights on so many different levels it sickins me. Electing a black president along with the gay rights issue has really revealed how many racial people we’ve have living in this country right now, depressing.
