Odditorium Photo Of The Day: 09 June 2009

That’s something I’ve always been afraid to try. Are they really good? I have a food related poem I wrote.( I was really bore one day as you will see) It’s called, “You Are What You Eat”.
Alone in the darkness she sat
She ate ’till she got really fat
A cookie here…a candybar there
Then she blames her husband for that
Whenst all of the sudden
She fell into her oven
Her legs dangling in the air
She was pushin’ and shovin’
It was an occasion which wasn’t rare
Like the stroke of a match, her hair went ablaze
Her skin was melting like a donut glaze
Soon yanked from the oven
Thanks to her husband
Who wanted some lovin’
He approached her from behind
When he spun her around, a pastry he found
He said, ” I guess this ain’t the time to flirt,
You look like desert,
But you ain’t no wife of mine”
Have you ever had escargots? No? Its delicious…
I never have. One of those foods that kinda scares me. But I guess if you say they’re good, I may force myself to try them sometime. ( Are you the same Ed that was looking for Bum Doll? ) If so, I was wondering if you’ve found one yet and where.
I would have thought Beavers were too discerning for snails as a meal? great shot

take 12 big alicve snails
have them starving during a week
then 12 hours in a bowl covered with vinegar and salt (a bit disgusting to watch the slobber making a foam )
then wash, cook 1/2 hour in salted water.
Then take out the snail of its shell, remove the black part of the tail;
wash again,
then cook 2 hours with white wine and “court-bouillon”.
let the snails get cold .
wash the shells, fill them with this mixture : garlic, shallot, salt, pepper, parsley and butter0.
Fill with the snail.
at last cook in the hot oven for 8 minuts.
Bon appetit ! lol!
