wine is fun, I've been into wines for the past few years, I live in wine country and work at a winery on the side here in California. Unfortunately I haven't had a whole lot of experience with Frech Bordeaux wines. I'll keep those suggestions in your article in mind. I generally like reds, more on the medium body like mourvedre, barbera, even red zins. I've tasted wines all over California and here are a few of my favorites, Armida, Burrell School, Storrs, and David Bruce. Won't be disappointed with anything they make.

What a wonderful article. Who would have thought that..Courtney the wine connisseur !! Well actually, that's probably a bit insulting come to think of it as I probably could imagine Courtney tasting all those reds in his wine cellar. My weekend evenings usually involve my passion of cooking a great meal while listening to the Dandy Warhols and sipping red wine. Like many out there who may be fast approaching middle age, I would have laughed at this prospect a few years ago and thought Beer and partying was the ONLY way to enjoy yourself. Anyway, whilst endulging in the said cooking, wine and Dandys, I do sometimes think to myself..I bet the Dandy Warhols aren't doing this right now ! I may just have been a tad wrong.
Personally though, a good Rioja is quite nice, but here in Europe we are spoilt for choice

This is probably the best interview yet. So interesting and fun to read. Not to mention, I need all the help I can get in figuring out good wine I can afford.
