“We’ve been talking for years now about getting as many of the covers we’ve done for specific territories together and releasing them for all to hear. It’s finally happening,” says Zia McCabe of Portland, OR’s THE DANDY WARHOLS about PIN UPS, their new album packed with covers from such legendary and venerable artists as The Cure, Gang of Four, The Clash, Bob Dylan, and The Beatles. Pin Ups is slated with a release date set for March 20, 2026 via Beat The World Records/Little Cloud Records.

Released today concurrently with the album’s announcement, single “Kiss Off” sees Zia standing in for Violent Femmes’ Gordan Gano, adding a bit of bratty flair against a ‘50s mod backdrop. “I’m especially excited that we’re releasing our cover of Violent Femmes’ ‘Kiss Off’ for the first time,” she says. “I can’t believe this gem has just been sitting in a hard drive for years!” Adds Courtney Taylor-Taylor, “For reminiscing, this record is one of my favorites!”

Among the re-sketches of fabled singles and deep cuts culled from fellow musicians who the band admire and honor are a surf-guitar-flavored “Goo Goo Muck” (The Cramps), a percolating pop version of “Cherry Bomb” (The Runaways), and a faithful and twangy back porch rendition of “You Ain’t Going Nowhere” (The Byrds).

“These are some of our favorite songs, or songs by our favorite bands, or just songs we admired,” explains Peter G. Holmström about their eclectic collection. While some are unreleased gems such as “Ripple” (Grateful Dead) and “Jet Boy” (New York Dolls), others are collected from various tribute records, bonus tracks, and B-sides. “Of course, hours after Michael Jackson died, the phone calls started coming in saying ‘I guess you guys have to cover ‘Blackbird’ now’,” he laughs, pointing out their respectfully hazy and mesmerizingly psychedelic cover of The Beatles signature classic.
As much as a tribute to the songs they love, it also serves as a love letter to many of the artists who are not only peers but friends as well. “Nearly every band we cover on here are friends of ours or artists we have had a meaningful experience with,” Courtney says. “Looking over all the songs again however, I am noticing that we never met the artists from the 60s. Weird.”

The last two years have been monumental for The Dandy Warhols. Releasing one of their best received and critically-hailed album ROCKMAKER (2024) which included guests Slash, Frank Black, and Debbie Harry, and its remade, remixed, and remodeled companion Rock ReMaker (2025), Portland’s favorite sons (and daughter) also performed with The Oregon Symphony for a second time, transforming their music into an immersive orchestral experience. “Playing with the Symphony set the bar for how much emotional and psychological power can be achieved with live music,” says Courtney of the experience. “The Dandy Warhols have toured the world and played hundreds and hundreds of shows. I have learned that nothing… and I mean nothing, compares to us playing with the Symphony.”
The Dandy Warhols is Courtney Taylor-Taylor (vocals, guitar), Peter G. Holmström (guitar, keyboards), Zia McCabe (keyboard, bass, percussion), and Brent DeBoer (drums, backing vocals).
Pin Ups will be released on vinyl, CD and digitally on March 20, 2026 via Beat The World Records/Little Cloud Records.

Dandy Warhols - Fast Drivin - Front Splatter-MockUp flexi

Fast Drivin Friday On Vinyl

After years of emails and requests from the loyal Dandy Warhols fanbase asking if this collection of songs would ever make it to vinyl—it’s finally happening! To make things even more special, we’re including a five-song bonus flexi disc inside the packaging. Think of it as a single for “I Do” with a handful of B-sides to round it out.

As CTT put it:
“This is a living document of the Covid experience. I was just telling someone that I know exactly when the fires were happening—because they’re in the 30-second-long songs. In October.”

The Dandy Warhols Rock Remaker on Moon Vinyl

ROCK REMAKER REMIX EP MAY 16 2025

ROCK REMAKER – a new Dandys Remix EP from Sunset Blvd Records out May 16th with new ROCKMAKER remixes from A Place To Bury Strangetrs, Jagz Kooner, Trentemøeller, GLOK (Andy Bell), and Night Club.

Hear the first track the APTBS remix of “I Will Never Stop Loving You (feat Debbie Harry)” right now on your favorite streaming platform and/or the visualizer on our youtube page.

“I absolutely love remixes, someone else’s interpretation or complete destruction of a song. On this EP we got to work with some favorites. Andy Bell from Ride, Anders Trentemøller, Oliver Ackerman from A Place To Bury Strangers, and Night Club. Also, Jagz Kooner reworked his album mix with the additional bass from Melvin Brannon who Court and I knew from The Dan Reed Network. The first time Jagz heard Root Of All Evil he thought it had a bit of Sly Stone. Melvin was the obvious bass player to take it farther in that direction.” – Peter G. Holmstrom

“The new Dandys record is a total reinvention of the band, so to be asked to do a remix from this record was an absolute honor for a band that I have loved for so long and is still making incredible and pertinent music. I got a chance to smash reverb tanks, throw guitars, melt tape, and blow a cloud of sonic destruction with 2 of the most iconic voices in the music industry Debbie Harry and Courtney Taylor, mind blown.” – Oliver Ackermann

New Video: Love Thyself

“Love Thyself“ is a Fathead track. With his strong 1950s vibe, I felt that the production really loved going for the sound of four glue sniffers from Queens.” – Courtney

Courtney – “I’m consistently blown away by this New York filmmaker’s work. Elizabeth Acevedo. Great heavy handed style. It’s a gritty human surrealism. I am so stoked that we got her to make the film for this single.”

Dates Added: 30th Anniversary Shows in December

Hello music lovers, Zia here personally inviting you to celebrate our 30 Year Anniversary as The Dandy fucking Warhols. We’ve spent most of 2024 focused on supporting our 12th studio album and most recent release, ROCKMAKER. But this December it’s time to party our way up the Best Coast before the year is through. Starting with an intimate three nights (Dec 2-4) at The Moroccan in LA, and two nights (Dec 6 & 7) in SF at the world famous Bimbo’s 365. The Dandys crescendo this over the top week, landing in Portland with multiple events, from co-hosting a night featuring artists off the vinyl label Little Cloud Records (Dec 11) to a fan brunch in Tacoma.

Little Cloud has been diligently releasing unique re-pressings of The Dandys’ back catalogue and tons of other cool bands, including Sun Atoms featuring our own Peter Holmström. The very next night (Dec 12) we headline a show at Crystal Ballroom with an after-party downstairs in Lola’s Room hosted by yours truly (free entry with concert ticket). We take it down a notch on Friday Dec 13th (or do we??) with a semi-private event at The Odditorium which is where the band records, rehearses and occasionally joins the public for a glass of wine in The Old Portland, Courtneys in-house wine bar. There’s been rumors of gift exchanges and karaoke of Dandys songs for charity but nothing set in stone as of yet. Here’s where it gets crazy!  A bunch of us, by us, we mean, the band, friends, fans, crew etc. are taking the Amtrak up to Tacoma for a gig Saturday (Dec 14) at the Spanish Ballroom. Check it out, the more of us that buy train tix the easier it will be to take over a car, or few. And hey, since we’re already up there, we might as well stick around for some Bloody Mary’s, etc. on Sunday (Dec 15) before we all go our separate ways. Wow guys, what a thrilling plan and ambitious way to celebrate 30 years of being Dandys. Please join us in this ultimately, “massive concussion of Rock & Roll.”

Limited VIP tickets available for travel packages that include discounted hotel rates and a “welcome gift-basket of goodies” (I am very excited about these locally sourced goodies!) for Portland and Tacoma shows.

Tickets go on sale Friday 8/23 at 10am! See you there, rockers!
