Free Portland Show from Google Hotpot
We will be playing an all-ages show on March 10th at University Chapel in SE Portland as a part of Google’s Hotpot concert series. The show is free, but you will need to get a wristband for entry. Follow @HotpotPDX on Twitter for details on where to get your wristband.

The Dandy Warhols Return To Australia May 2011
The Dandy Warhols are pretty stoked to tell you that come May we will be playing some shows in our second home, the magical land of Australia.
On Tuesday, 24 May we will be on the west coast in Perth at Metro Fremantle (18+). On Thursday, 26 May it’s down to Adelaide for a show at HQ (18+), followed Melbourne at The Palace Theatre (18+) on Friday, 27 May. It’s back up the east coast to Sydney on Sunday, 29 May at the Enmore Theatre (All Ages with ID), before finishing up in Brisbane on Tuesday, 31 May at The Tivoli (18+).
Tickets for all shows will go on sale to the general public starting Thursday, 3 March at 9am.
Subscribers of The Dandy Warhols email list will have a special opportunity to purchase “pre-sale” tickets for all Australia shows starting 28 February. Here are some random pics from tour: this one is in Las Vegas at some Elvis installation, thus the TCS w/lightning bolt (which means “takin care of business in a flash”). He demanded that his crew do exactly that. Barnsey took this one.

Our friend Cary Haider took this at the portland gig. Looks cool. I wish you could see my boots better cuz they’re the ones I designed for Fleuvog several years back. They look better than ever. I’ve had to re-sole them a couple times but damn they’ve aged well.

Just a quick note to let you know that Zia’s Brush Prairie will be performing Thursday night in Portland at Kelly’s Olympian Knife Shop (21+/$3/info). Meanwhile, Peter’s Pete International Airport will be in Seattle Thursday performing in theFuzzy Ball shoegaze/psychedelic event at Neumos (21+/$10/info), and the following night in Portland at the Wonder Ballroom (21+/$10/info).
One more thing, here’s Peter on INTO THE WOODS.TV‘s Learning Curve explaining his pedals and how he gets the sound on Pete International Airport’s namesake song.

Here’s how they deal with that pesky graffiti in SF. They screw in a protective sheet of plexiglass over it…. If it’s really really cool.
Check out this book of sheet music. I’ve seen this once before. I believe it was in Dublin maybe ten years ago.
Actually Fatty just told me he has one as well. Sweet. Maybe one day I’ll sit down and check that it’s all correct. Or even close.
