“Well They’re Gone”, written by Courtney Taylor-Taylor, is the debut single from The Dandy Warhols’ upcoming Long Playing Maxigroove, This Machine, due out April 24th on CD, LP, and digital on The End Records.
The Dandy Warhols will release their tenth Long Playing Maxigroove®, entitled This Machine, on April 24, 2012 through The End Records. On this date in 1994, The Dandy Warhols (Courtney Taylor, Peter Holmstrom, Eric Hedford, and someone else) played their first ever show at the world famous X-Ray Cafe in downtown Portland. Whoever that someone else was fired from the band not too long after, and Zia McCabe was recruited to take her place. Four years later, founding member Eric Hedford left the band and was replaced by Courtney’s cousin, Brent DeBoer. This is the entire personnel history of The Dandy Warhols. Questions?
The Dandy Warhols figured seventeen years between Christmas singles was enough, so we’ve put together this all-new recording of the most-holy of Christmas carols, “Silent Night.” We’re offering this song, along with our classic “Little Drummer Boy,” free as our gift to you. Go to xmas.dandywarhols.com for the details on how to download this very special digital single.

Our old friends The Wolfmen (Marco Pirroni and Chris Constantinou) have a fantastic single coming out December 5th on Cadiz Music. It’s called “Jackie, Is It My Birthday” and it features Sinéad O’Connor on vocals. (PS: I love this song, Sinéad’s voice gives me the shivers.) This song was mixed by our Courtney Taylor-Taylor and Jacob Portrait, in case you were waffling on picking it up.
Our young friends 1776 have their album out now on Beat The World. You can download that from iTunes HERE. I saw some copies of the CD laying around the office, so I’m sure that you’ll also be able to buy that version soon.
